Today, my supervisor asked about the dashboard of the system and the type of information that is usually displayed on it. He suggested that for the audit scheduling system, the integration of external report sources, such as reports from the National Audit Department, could be displayed on the dashboard for reference purposes and to provide ideas for future audit work titles. These reports could also serve as references for audit report writing content. Besides that, the communication process between the audit unit and the auditee was also proposed to be included in the system. For example, once an audit is conducted, the audit unit can send questions to the auditee for feedback, and once the responses are received, the answers can be accessed directly through the system.
I plan to integrate all these requested features into the dashboard while also creating a separate page for users to access the full functions of these features. On the other hand, I was informed that in conjunction with the placement of the Raja Muda of Terengganu at MAIDAM, each unit is required to propose activities or programmes for the knowledge of Yang Mulia. Encik Rosli mentioned that he would like to include the development of this system in the list of proposed activities, and I may need to conduct a demo of the system usage. However, further details and confirmation will be informed later. Nevertheless, having the development of this system included in the proposed activities itself is already a great honour for me.
From today’s discussion, I gained a better understanding of the importance of developing a system that is not only functional but also informative and supportive for users. The suggestions provided by the supervisor regarding dashboard integration and communication features helped me realise how a system can improve efficiency, accessibility of information, and communication between the audit unit and auditees. In addition, I learned that integrating external references, such as audit reports, into the system can support users in generating ideas and improving the quality of report writing. This experience also exposed me to the importance of continuously improving a system based on user needs and practical work processes.
Furthermore, being informed that the system development may be presented during the Raja Muda Terengganu’s placement programme gave me a sense of appreciation and motivation. It encouraged me to continue improving the system and boosted my confidence in the work that I have developed throughout the practicum period.
