For today, I discussed the system and dashboard once again together with other unit members. Since the system was initially prepared for the internal use of the unit, it includes several different functions such as the display of audit work scheduling using a Gantt chart with input spaces, links to reports from the National Audit Department, procedures for conducting audits, and a framework for generating internal audit reports.
Based on the discussions, explanations, and clarifications, as well as the preparation of activities for the Raja Muda as mentioned in the previous logbook, we agreed to use one of the modules for the presentation as part of the unit’s activity, as the complete system would be too extensive to cover during the proposed activity and presentation. The selected module will function as a dashboard for the status and actions of the audit unit and its auditees, including a login function to manage the submission of questions to auditees together with their feedback responses.
For now, I will focus on the development of this module with the initial proposed name, “E-Audit”. As for today, I gathered the necessary information regarding the details to be included in the system, references and inspiration from the National Audit Department website, interface design ideas, and the system structure to begin developing this module.
From today’s discussion, I gained valuable exposure to collaborative planning and decision-making in system development. By discussing the system together with other unit members, I was able to understand different perspectives and identify the functions that are most relevant and beneficial for the audit unit’s operations. In addition, this experience helped me realise the importance of designing a system that is practical, organised, and user-oriented. The planning of the “E-Audit” module exposed me to the process of translating operational needs into system features and structures. I also learned how references from existing professional platforms, such as the National Audit Department, can be used as inspiration to improve system quality and functionality. Furthermore, knowing that the module may be presented as part of the unit’s activity for the Raja Muda gave me additional motivation and confidence in my work. Overall, this experience enhanced both my technical understanding and communication skills in a professional working environment.
