I began developing the dashboard by focusing on the pages that can be accessed by the public, including the page flow, display of data, and interface design. I also planned the arrangement of the information to ensure that the dashboard is user-friendly, organised, and easy to navigate for users.
Besides that, I worked on ensuring that the displayed data is relevant and presented clearly to help users better understand the status and information related to the audit process and information. I also referred to several existing dashboard and audit-related websites as references for the interface layout and content arrangement to improve the overall design and functionality of the system.
In addition, I reviewed the flow between pages to ensure smoother navigation and better user experience while using the dashboard. Further improvements and additional features will continue to be developed from time to time based on the system requirements and feedback received.
From today’s tasks, I gained a better understanding of the importance of designing a dashboard that is not only functional but also user-friendly and well-organised. While developing the public-access pages, I learned that the arrangement of information, navigation flow, and interface design play an important role in ensuring a positive user experience.
In addition, I realised that displaying information clearly and systematically can help users better understand the purpose and functions of the system. Referring to existing dashboards and audit-related platforms also gave me new ideas and insights into improving the design and functionality of the system. Overall, this experience enhanced both my technical and creative thinking skills, especially in developing a system that balances functionality, accessibility, and visual presentation.
