As for now, I have successfully developed the main dashboard that will be accessible to the public. I will continue developing the pages for handling and managing the data to be displayed on the dashboard between the audit staff and the auditees. I also presented the current progress to one of the unit members and received feedback regarding the system.
Besides that, there have been additional feature requests for the dashboard, including functions for the public or auditees to submit questions to the audit unit, a page to display the submitted questions together with the responses, and a page to display the latest related documents or amendments to Treasury Circulars and other documents related to auditing.
From today’s tasks, I gained a better understanding of the importance of developing a system that is interactive, informative, and accessible to users. By developing the public dashboard and discussing the progress with a unit member, I learned how feedback from users and stakeholders can help improve the quality and functionality of a system.
In addition, the newly requested features exposed me to the importance of communication and information sharing between the audit unit and auditees. Features such as question submissions, response displays, and access to the latest audit-related documents can help improve transparency, efficiency, and accessibility of information. Overall, this experience enhanced my understanding of user-centred system development and strengthened my ability to continuously improve a system based on practical needs and feedback from users.
